Lacante goat hunt

“Persistance pays off.”

Jared, finally closed the deal on a Lacante Glacier goat.  After making a few trips up there in the past  month, there was finally a day of cooperating weather and he was able to punch his tag.  Deer hunting has been tough the whole month of October on POW, but now we are seeing some frosty mornings and with that little bite in the air now we’re looking toward the rut. The silvers are for the most part finished on the north end of the island, and as the snow sneaks down on the mountains there is a frenzy of activity around the lodge.  Put up this, winterize that, drain something else.  Sometimes this place starts looking a whole lot like work.
